The Speech

On 1^st of April

I was invited to school early in the morning

To receive my certificate of recognition during the assembly

There were so many changes in the protocol

News songs were added

New programs were incorporated

And most importantly, there were many new staffs too!

I dressed in the formal attire

Walked into the school with my mother

It felt so strange

I was a Sam Tet student

But now I’m an old boy

Going back to school

And to deliver a speech to my juniors

I would not even dare to think about it one year ago

Amazing. Nostalgic.

This week is Minggu Bahasa

I felt so awkward because I didn’t prepare my speech in BM

Just English and Mandarin

Anyway

I think I really killed the show

As I got the defining applause from the audience

And what means so much to me is that

It was my first time to speak in front of public

Haha..

As for my peers, Kay and Km

At first I thought that they would prepare a long script and speak very well

But I have to admit that mine was way longer than theirs

But they do have some points

Which focus heavily in how to study

It was too my surprise that Km used so many Chinese Poems in his speech

In which I will never use them in my entire life..

My juniors asked me to post my speech somewhere in the internet

So that they can learn from it

Well I will not write the whole speech, but the points will do

The way to succeed in academy and life

Change your mindset and core belief. Do not develop limiting belief about who you are and what you’re capable of. You are always better than that, The moment you think you can do it, you are already one step forward in the road to success.

Be hard working. Though it is clichéd, it is everlastingly true. You yourself should take extra approach by WILLING to go extra miles. Knowledge itself knows no bounds.

Set a target for yourself. You must aim for the best in whatever you are doing. Instead of being the second, try to be the first! (Though I never get Number One in school before). When you reach your target, do not feel complacent and get satisfied. If you don’t, all you have to do is to tell yourself that you will work harder next time. That’s where the progress begins

Making sacrifices is necessary. In life, it is but a natural cycle that when you take in something, you will have to give away another thing as a return. Balance does exist. So if you really want to succeed in studies, be prepared to sacrifice most of your unnecessary entertainment, save up more time for your studies. And REMEMBER learn to say NO to your friend’s invitation to any party or gathering. That’s where the Evil begins to take place in your mind

You know, Life is short. All we have Is Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. For yesterday, we but have to let bygones be bygones, of course we must learn from our past mistakes and so do I. I made many mistakes before, but I learned from them because I have to take responsibility for myself. For future, we will never ever what’s going to happen next. So what we have, what we’re HAVING now is the moment right here. My advice is, live your life to the fullest.

If you think you are not good in studies, it is totally, perfectly ALRIGHT!! As long as you find your true colours and your true potential, polish it until everyone is proud of you because you have what everyone DOESN’T HAVE!

Mandarin: 你们大部分人都觉得读书是一件很辛苦的事，一打开书本就觉得很困，很想睡觉，整天讲很闷很烦，可是你们知道烦和闷这两个字是怎样写的吗？当你每翻一页时，你都觉得很火，而你的心也就会锁在一个门里。所以千万不要说烦闷，这么多负面的情绪集中在你的脑里，当然什么都读不进脑！尽量保持心境开朗，冷静，从多角度去看待一样事情，你会慢慢发现读书并没有想象中那么难。老套话：世上无难事，只怕有心人！！

I try to focus to much in academy

Instead I hope that I can motivate my juniors to do better for their life

Inspire them to work harder towards what they want out of their life..

Saying that it was very inspiring

My accent is so unique that they want to know who is my mentor?!

Haha.. To be frank, I learn all of this by myself

By how?

Change my mentality – mindset – belief

Challenge myself to the edge
