Dumbfounded

A few days ago I went for old boys' talk
There were so many people turned out in the talk..
Let me just get straight to the point
Im very shocked
I used to have a senior called Benson who told us when we are in um, we dont have to study hard
Getting marks around the border line will do
And he even mentioned that in dentistry fac,  it has been many years no one get shortlisted for Dean list because the grades are horrific..
And the other senior told us never put academic as our priority
I find this very funny
If I were not to come to um to study, for what else reason im in um?
Socialising? Networking? Exploring every nook and corner of kl?
And the shocking of them all, is that if I dont go outing often, I will be isolated
Damn it! What are these people
Many people would die to get into um and thats the reality of living in um?
Where we have to spend bucks just to make friends
Gosh this sounds so crazy and I dont even know what I have to stay
But anyway
Im gonna stay true to myself
Be hardworking in any possible way
Strive to appear in the dean list
When everyone is aiming to pass the.exam, I need to ace every exam
I dont give a shit of what they think of me
As I am here to study and become a.doctor
Dont ever get me.strayed far from my dream, bastards!
