I’m suffering from a headache. Since 10.30 am, I had been reading the
Bursary policy for almost 2 hours, which infuriated me seriously. After hours
of discussion with my Nanny Stella, it turned that we had so many questions yet
to be answered and we were rather blur with the policy. I called MOE out of
frustration. The person-in-charge was very NOT INFORMATIVE! He couldn’t even
answer my basic questions and dared to put my phone on hold for about 15
minutes, in which eventually my phone credit was deducted RM8. URGH!!! So in
the end, I wrote a long email to MOE, keeping my fingers crossed my email would
not be left unattended. I waited for all day long and yet there was no reply. I
guessed it was Monday Blues, after all.
My mom called a medical houseman just now regarding his working hours,
since it had been quite an issue after the recent death of
a houseman due to the alleged use of drug. Anyway, he said that the issue of
working hour was not as serious as the newspaper described. To my surprise, he
is studying in USM on his own fund without any scholarship though he got the
top results. Of course the course fee is staggeringly cheaper than in private university,
so he suggested me trying to apply for loan if I were to put my foot on IPTA.
Having my MBBS done in local is advisable for students who don’t have the
budget. I hate to say, he is damn right. I’m not thinking of National
Scholarship anymore, just apply for it and see what I get. But most
importantly, I must get my email replied tomorrow!!!
I’m still torn between STPM and A Level. Matriculation is out of my list
already, since I realised that I put Labuan as my first choice. Actually when I
filled in the application form last year, I thought Labuan was in KL. So a few
days ago, when my mom saw the printed form, she took me to task for returning
all my basic Geography knowledge to teacher. Well, sad to say, I don’t like him
at all. Nevertheless, even if I got the offer (I’m pretty sure I will get the
first choice with my result), I will have to turn it down. This is because I found
out that Kolej Matrikulasi Sabah has an ongoing and serious water crisis, as
described by the people in internet, not forgetting to mention how smelly would
the students be in the dorm. For me, I can’t tolerate with smell of sweating or
even unflushed toilet. Only just a thought of them makes me want to throw up, ad nauseam!
I’m so regret for not checking the form gingerly!
Actually I’m thinking to leave the 5S1 group. I always wonder why there
are some fellows who like to post nonsense on the wall, unaware that what they
wrote actually reflected their way of thinking. One word, SILLY.
Today, my friend Kee went to Kompas International University to study
Accounting. Hopefully he can pull it through and be successful in his life. He wants
it as bad as I do.
I ‘d really want to see how many people will be going to Taylor’s since
bursary is offered. However, the amount remains unknown. It’d be fun if MOE
gives us any more surprises! Seriously, I start to think this way; Our almighty
Government is not Santa Claus! So don’t expect to receive presents even though
it is Christmas time. Government owes us nothing and so we shouldn’t clamour for
more and more. Especially when I saw the news of Pakatan Rakyat, leaded by
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, trying to write off PTPTN loan scheme and be replaced
with a free tertiary education, I think it is a sheer absurdity. It is just a
lame excuse for those blacklisted getting away with the debt. It is incumbent
upon us to repay after we apply for a loan. Otherwise, what makes the
difference between getting a loan and scholarship? Be it the wish of the
blacklisted to get away with their debts, the hopes of Malaysians to obtain a
totally free education from cradle to grave, the tactics of political party to
woo the electorates nationwide by writing a bounce cheque and so on, I hope
that when it comes to Education, no one should misuse it for other disoriented
purposes, as education itself is part and parcel of a nation’s economic,
social, and intellectual development. An unintended mistake made can annihilate the whole
country. What brings up a man, capable of shaping his ability, mentality and
nobility?
